Wuré is a clean, minimalist makeup-skincare hybrid brand founded by Senegalese entrepreneur Aminata Mbaye, who launched it in May 2022 after struggling to find natural, well-formulated complexion products for her own mate-to-deep skin. For Aminata Mbaye, makeup embodies a quest for authenticity and simplicity; her clean, minimalist brand was born from the personal frustration of not finding products suited to black, tan and mixed skin. The hero is a BB cream, the Nude Skin BB Cream is formulated with 98.9% natural ingredients, without silicones or controversial actives. Wuré's smart move was building shade language around deep tones: each black, mate or mixed complexion finds its match, "Acajou" for light mixed skin, "Sipo" for light brown, "Wengé" for dark brown and "Ébène" for very deep skin. Tellingly for a francophone brand, the African market today represents 70% of Wuré's turnover. A genuine discovery gem for deep-skin BB cream lovers; the caveat is that production is Made-in-France rather than on the continent.
