Founded in 2017 by Stella Ndekile, a medical laboratory scientist and part-time makeup artist, alongside celebrity MUA Jane Ogu (Flawless Faces by Jane). What sets it apart is its scientific rigour: rather than importing or reselling, Nuban built its own formulations from scratch, with every product tested under Nigeria's humid, tropical climate so foundations, powders and eyeshadows stay flawless all day. Its In My Skin Foundation features undertones reflecting the natural variation of African skin, warm, calm and neutral, and unlike global brands that stop at a few 'deep' shades, Nuban focuses on the subtleties that make African complexions unique. A lovely discovery detail: its 25-shade Intensified Shadow Palette gives each hue a female name common to Nigeria's ethnic groups.
