Adeba Nature is an Ivorian natural-cosmetics company built entirely on-continent. Founded in 2015 by Linda Dempah, Adeba Nature is an Ivorian natural-cosmetics brand offering healthy, effective beauty products for all skin and hair types. A Harvard MBA and ex-McKinsey consultant, Dempah returned to her roots after chemical hair products damaged her health and hair; her mother, an Ivory Coast-based pharmacist with 30 years of experience, gave her a mysterious oil from their ancestral village that became the best thing she ever put on her hair. The brand controls its full value chain, Adeba's strength lies in its total control of the value chain; based in Abidjan, the company researches, produces and tests. Crucially for deep skin, its mission is explicitly anti-bleaching: part of Dempah's mission is to fight the lack of self-worth tied to poor self-image in the African diaspora, which can result in harmful practices such as skin bleaching. The name shifted to Laboratoires Adeba in 2025.
