Paba Cosmetics
Founded by Felicia Sarpong

Paba Cosmetics is a long-running, family-run line built specifically around deep-skin undertone matching. Established in 2001 by Ghanaian-born creator and CEO Felicia Sarpong, it operates storefronts in Ghana (Accra and Kumasi) and Toronto. Sarpong saw that women of colour weren't wearing their correct undertone, products left their skin with an ash, grey or high-red finish, so she built a line that helps women identify and match their true undertone. For deep skin this undertone-first philosophy is the whole point: the brand emphasizes brown and black skin types and considers skin conditions like eczema and acne that affect people of colour. Its Perfect Finish foundation comes in 21 shades all based on undertones. A genuinely obscure, two-decade-old mother-and-daughters indie that predates the inclusive-beauty wave, exactly the kind of brand nobody else lists.
