Inaya Zanzibar is an artisanal, women-run skincare maker on Zanzibar Island that almost no global directory lists. The brand proudly has an all-women production and sales team who make unique skincare products, handmade soaps, oils and moisturisers, with utmost care in small batches in their factory in Zanzibar, Tanzania. The name itself reflects the ethos: Inaya means grace, providence and kindness, or more literally 'loving to show care and attention to others.' Its hero products are traditional cold-process soaps built on pure African oils and butters relevant to deeper, often drier skin. The handcrafted soaps are created with pure African oils and butters using the traditional cold-process method, involving hand-blending, air-curing for four to six weeks, hand-cutting and hand-stamping. Scents include avocado, cocoa, honey and clove. Honest caveats: the founder isn't named in available sources and the line leans toward soap and body care rather than complexion shades, but as an obscure, women-led, heritage-rooted Tanzanian gem it's exactly the kind of brand exhaustiveness demands.
