R&R Luxury (R&R Skincare)
Founded by Valerie Obaze

R&R is an award-winning African luxury skincare house championing shea and black soap from Northern Ghana. Valerie Obaze launched R&R in 2010 after becoming a mother, experimenting with locally sourced botanicals, and her life changed when she discovered shea butter could be fractionated into an oil. The brand takes its name from her daughter Rebecca Rose and has won several awards for its range. For deep skin it leans on ancestral ingredients reformulated as lightweight oils and velvety whipped butters that feel indulgent rather than heavy. R&R creates clean products highlighting shea, black soap and baobab, oversees production from tree to bottle, and works directly with rural women through The Women of the Savannah Development Project. The discovery angle: Obaze was featured in Forbes as an 'African skincare trailblazer.' Caveat: it's body/skin care, not shade-matched colour cosmetics.
