LYS Beauty, short for "Love Yourself", is the skin-first clean line from veteran makeup artist Tisha Thompson. With over 15 years in clean product development, makeup artistry, marketing, finance and operations, Thompson launched LYS Beauty to diversify the beauty landscape and prove performance, clean formulas and inclusive shade ranges can coexist. It became the first Black-owned clean beauty brand at Sephora. Crucially, the deep end leads the range, not trails it. The internet-famous Triple Fix Serum Foundation comes in 17 shades starting with Deep Golden Espresso, a rich brown shade with golden undertones, infused with ashwagandha, turmeric and hyaluronic acid. The line has since expanded its foundation count and built a cult around complexion. It is best known for its array of complexion products including the Triple Fix Full Coverage Brightening Concealer and Triple Fix Serum Foundation. The discovery angle is affordability meeting clean credentials at Sephora, rare for a Black-owned brand. Caveat: confirm current foundation shade count, which has expanded since launch.
