Shay Paresh launched her melanin-first skincare line, Shayde Beauty, in 2018, after years working in creative marketing for major beauty brands. As a teenager Shay struggled with hyperpigmented skin and found nothing on the market worked for her skin specifically; working in creative marketing she saw a huge lack of representation firsthand and wanted to do something about it. The brand's mission is precise: to disrupt the way personal care is formulated for Fitzpatrick skin types IV, VI, blending science and clinically proven actives. Its standout is the Overnight Glow Up, with niacinamide, kojic acid, coffee-bean extract, and fruit extracts to revive skin and reduce discoloration.
